In advance of Turkey Day: what are you thankful for? The related question is: What makes life worth living? Here’s Woody Allen considering this in a terrific short scene from “Manhattan.” What’s so great is the specificity of his list: these aren’t generic “likes,” this is the real stuff.
This week, in between the travel, stress, turkey, pie, and family craziness, take a little time to consider what specifically makes your life worth living.
I hope that aspects of your work are on your list: that your work is–at least in part–rewarding, challenging, and fascinating. We only get one life and much of it is spent working. What parts are you grateful for?
PS: There’s some new and surprising science about gratitude making a big difference in our quality of life. See this article from Deborah Norville (I found it on Dallas Travers’ blog: actor’s advocate.
Happy Thanksgiving All!
As always, I’m very interested and grateful for your comments and feedback – I’d love to see your list of what makes life worth living!
