MONDAY BYTES – December 17, 2012

As 2012 draws to a close, it’s a good time to review and reflect on the past year. Too often we’re so busy DOING that we forget to take stock of our achievements, let along our motivations or the after-effects of these achievements!
Take a break from the frantic holiday season for a little reflection.
For this week, a short exercise:
1. Take a piece of paper and fold lengthwise in thirds to make three long columns.
2. Take 10 minutes and think back over the year. Scroll through your calendar and jot down in the first column a list of the year’s projects and accomplishments (WHAT you did).
3. Read over your list and congratulate yourself!
4. In the second column, opposite each accomplishment listed, write your motivation (WHY you did it). Be honest (guilt and coercion may be factors).
5. And in the last column, list the after-effects of each project (what you got out of doing it). This may, of course, be very different from what you expected or intended.
I’m very interested in what you learn from the exercise—email me your thoughts and “A-Ha’s”!
Curious about working with me? Details are HERE.
Dream big, Plan smart, Live well!
