Musicians’ Lab
From Inner Critic to Inner Power:
Your Pathway to Artistry
To find your own artistic voice you’ve got to deal with your demons—it’s an inside job.
You’ve got the degrees. You’ve done the gigs. You’ve paid your dues.
YET . . . you feel like you’re treading water—recycling the same repertoire or stuck in the same gig loop with the same colleagues . . .
You’re caught in comparisons—resenting that Sue won the job or George got the grant—and you can’t help but question when it’ll be YOUR turn . . .
AND you miss the freedom, wonder, and curiosity that first drew you to music . . .
It’s not about doing more
It’s about doing it differently.
“If you wait for arbitrary lines in the sand—like getting management—to own your work and feel worthy, you’ll be waiting forever. It’s the inner work that leads to our best artistic work and helps us show up authentically. Thank you for helping me see that it’s the inner work—not the industry BS—that moves us forward.”
In the Musicians’ Lab, you’ll learn how to:
Transform your practice or composition time
from frustration-fests to focused, creatively satisfying work sessions that you’ll leave thinking, “That actually went somewhere.”
Push past the fear that keeps you playing small.
Learn customized tools so you can quit the second-guessing and freely express yourself in the practice room, onstage, or in the composition studio.
Let go of chasing external validation: build resilience instead.
Learn how to self-validate so when rejection hits (and it will), you’ll have the skills to process it and be able to rebound quickly.
Connect with your audience on a deeper level.
Quiet the noise in your head, open your heart, and expand your awareness to include the energy exchange in the room in every performance.
Align with the creative source to channel the flow state
so you can walk on stage fully present and at ease in your body—empowered to share your truth—and letting that move people.

Meet Your Coach
Hi, I’m Angela Beeching. For more than a decade, I’ve used the Tools® I’ve learned from Phil Stutz and Barry Michels to help musicians like you break through creative blocks so you can finally claim your true artistic voice.
I’ve also directed career centers at Manhattan School of Music, Indiana University, and New England Conservatory, and have guided hundreds of musicians to find their own paths to success.
I created the Musicians’ Lab to give musicians a focused, supportive space to finally do the inner work that leads to their best music-making.
Together, let’s discover what you’re truly capable of.

FAQ
What if I miss a session?
Is this for performers, composers, or both?
Do I need to be familiar with The Tools® already?

How much time should I plan for doing Lab work each week?
What if I’m not sure I’m “ready” yet?
Is this a good fit if I’m already working with a coach or therapist?
Yes. The Lab isn’t therapy—it’s a practical, structured program that complements and deepens other growth work.
